Fine quality Merino wool handdyed by Madeleine in Cape Town, South Africa

I dye in small batches, colours are unique ~ created in the moment in a painterly fashion and cannot be 100% replicated. Yarn is dyed using rain & wellpoint water. Colour and creating has always been part of my life, from my colouring-in books and crayons as a little girl, to studying design and working as graphic designer for more than a decade. Over the last few years I have fallen in love with the hands-on, grounding approach of creating with wool and it has become my every day adventure. Dyeing fine South African Merino wool, spinning fibres into yarn, weaving yarn into fabric or decor pieces, knitting garments and accessories, crocheting functional items, preparing fibre for spinning and felting – I always have wool in my hands.
